KG: About Us
Two people from very different worlds connected;
building a life together designed on a common dream: to live off the land gently & simply.
~
Cody and Celine met in college at University of California, Santa Cruz - and it didn't take long before the two of them were painting dreams of owning land to support themselves, their dogs and their passion for plants, animals & the ocean. Their first year together, Cody found them a house on 5 acres, a half hour south of Santa Cruz. They spent the spring and summer together growing plants, learning about organic techniques and surfing - & they haven't stopped since. During all this time, they both have held a variety of side jobs: Landscaping, Truck driver, Farmers Market Vendor, Farm Hand and many more - learning new trades and what it means to run a business.
It wasn't only their hard work and perseverance that allowed for the opening of Kaprielian Growers in August 2013 - but also the support of their family & friends. 'Kaprielian' is a family name from Cody's family, lost when the family immigrated to the USA from Armenia. The couple chose to bring the name back, just like they want to bring back traditional thinking of caring for your land and taking care of our common resources. Succulents have become a symbol of this respect for our earth; a simple reminder of the joy in caring for life, no matter how small and beautiful. K.G. runs on the premise of honoring the past, enjoying & working hard in the present, and respecting the future.

Simply put, Kaprielian Growers is dedicated to growing happiness for your home.
